The APS-30 backup power supply is designed to power devices included in alarm, video and intercom systems, operating at 12 V DC. The high-efficiency switching power supply used in its construction offers good energy performance with low thermal losses. The output current of the power supply is 3 A. The device is powered by AC voltage in the range of 17 V to 20 V.

APS-30 features short circuit and overload protection. Microprocessor-based battery charging tests, precise voltage regulation and automatic disconnection in case of excessive discharge are used to ensure the good condition of the batteries and extend their life, reducing the risk of damage.

The power supply is equipped with a tamper-proof switch. Three LEDs are used to indicate the presence of mains power, battery power and the battery charging process in progress. Any problems are also signaled acoustically. The alarm system is informed of problems due to two OC type outputs. Changes to their status provide information about battery voltage falling below the permitted level (also caused by battery disconnection or failure) or loss of mains power (i.e. no voltage on the AC inputs).
