VEA sample points are available in two different types (surface mount and standard mount). Surface-mount sample points are designed for use where access to empty ceiling space is limited. Microbore tubes run along the ceiling, visible in the protected area. These sample points are screwed directly to the ceiling. Surface-mount sample points are available in black or white with 4 mm or 6 mm inputs to fit the appropriate microbore tubes. The VESDA-E VEA detector series combines VESDA reliability and early smoke detection with timely addressability and a variety of signaling options that truly exceed traditional spot detectors. VEA detectors use patented air sampling points and multiple microbore air sampling tubes with three alarm sensitivity settings. Each patented VEA sampling point and microbore tube is fully supervised by the detector.
