Overview The AlarmLine

II analog linear temperature detection system includes the AlarmLine II EN (AAE-xxxx) analog sensor cable, the AlarmLine II control module (AAECU) and an end-of-line box (AAECU-EOL). The control module provides for temperature monitoring along the analog sensor cable, configuring alarm and early alarm temperatures, as well as allowing a simple interface with an alarm center or a BMS system

Interface & Programming
The AAECU control module is equipped with LED indications and an LCD display. The internal buttons allow easy configuration without the need for a PC. The PC configuration is however available via USB through the optional AAECU-PCC configuration software.
Early warning and alarm thresholds can be set through simple options in the programming menu. The initial configuration is carried out by measuring the calibration resistance of the sensor cable associated with the 3-digit identifier of the sensor cable used.
The control unit provides voltage-free exchange contacts for early alarm and alarm signaling to a fire control unit or to a BMS system. An optoisolated phototransistor general fault output is also available.
No user control is available on the control unit. An isolated input is available for remote control module recovery

Operation
In addition to monitoring temperature changes along the sensor cable, the control unit monitors the operation of the sensor cable for open circuit and short circuit conditions, ensuring fault notification in the event of damage to the sensor cable. The control module is equipped with a temperature sensor inside the case that intervenes when it reaches a temperature of 100° C (212° F), signaling an alarm condition.

Each control module can manage a length of sensor cable up to 500 m, acting as a single alarm zone.

In detail,
the AAECU control module is equipped with the AAECU-EOL end-of-line box. The end-of-line box (AAECU-EOL) is also available separately as a replacement part.

An AAECU-JUN junction box is available separately if it is necessary to connect two stretches of sensor cable.
