Automatic volume control

The DLC9000 automatically adjusts the listening level of a sound distribution system, controlling the driving signal of the amplifiers, based on continuous monitoring of the background noise present in the listening area. The noise, detected by the SENSE microphone placed in the area subject to control, is sampled and processed by the device to provide adequate correction also depending on the parameters set at the time of installation; the backlit display shows, at an indicative level, both the sound pressure level of the noise and the correction rate introduced by the device on the line signal. As an aid to the installer in fine-tuning the system, the device is able to store the minimum and maximum values detected in the environment. A second operating mode is represented by the possibility of operating as a 'day/night' attenuator, whose attenuation values can be set from the menu and the selection between the two levels can be activated by closing a contact on the multifunction terminal block. Equipped with user-friendly navigation software for system settings and calibration, the device is completed by a monitor speaker for listening to what is picked up by the SENSE microphone and the remote BY-PASS control that intervenes automatically in the event of a power failure.
