Generality
The ADLCU-2 control module is able to monitor two zones/lines of non-resettable digital thermosensitive cable AlarmLine II. When an overheating or fire affects one of the areas of the sensor cable, the unit promptly detects the condition and displays on the display the distance, in meters and feet, of the intervention point.
The two zones can operate independently of each other or in dual consent mode. Each zone has a dedicated alarm and fault output. The unit is designed to be able to be interfaced to both a conventional and addressable fire alarm control panel. It has LEDs for indicating the presence of voltage, for signaling fault and alarm conditions, as well as the presence of voltage-free relay outputs for signaling the fault or alarm condition, corresponding to each zone.

Operating modes
1. Single consent - This mode allows you to have two independent zones. When a fault or alarm condition occurs in a controlled area, the corresponding fault or alarm output is activated respectively. The two zones thus work independently and can be connected separately to a central fire alarm.
2. Double consent - This mode is used in those applications where the intervention of two zones/lines is required, in order to generate an alarm condition. In this configuration, the same type of sensor cable should be connected to the two zones of the control module. The alarm output changes state only when both thermosensitive cable lines intervene. If only one area of the sensor cable is activated but the second one does not intervene, the alarm output will not be activated

The control module allows the use of an interconnection cable (not sensitive to temperature) between the unit and the protected area where the sensor cable is installed. The interconnect cable is used in applications where the control unit is not in the immediate vicinity of the controlled area.
