Overview Thermal
detectors are normally used in environments where a rapid rise in temperature is expected in the event of a fire or in places where optical smoke detectors cannot be used. The 6000 series thermal detectors are intended for outdoor or indoor use in areas with high humidity

Fixed alarm threshold
The 6000 series detectors are conventional fixed-threshold thermal detectors, that is, they operate within a temperature range in accordance with EN 54-5:2000. The sensitive element consists of a heat collection screen and a bimetallic switch. When the detector interacts, an LED lights up on the detector (not available on the 6298 model). All detectors support an output for a remote indicator.

The following models are available (static response temperature, class and temperature range EN54-5):

• 6295, 57°C, class A2S (from 54 to 70 °C) • 6296, 72°C, class BS (from 69 to 85 °C) • 6297, 87°C, class CS (from 84 to 100 °C) • 6298, 117°C, class ES (from 114 to 130 °C)

Operation
All detectors are of a stored type, i.e. they do not recover automatically after an alarm if the temperature detected falls below the intervention threshold. The detector LED and the remote LED that may be connected will remain active until the detector is restored by

the control center.

Installation
All electronic components of the detectors are mounted in a watertight housing complete with housing. The connection case is equipped with three inputs for connecting cables. Three IP67 cable clamps and a silicone seal are supplied with the product.

All detectors are equipped with three pairs of flying conductors with female push-on connectors suitable for connecting the cables of the detection line (in/out) and the remote indicator.
