In European Community countries, gas operation tests and calibration procedures are required by the regulations in force EN 60079-29-2. According to this regulation, implemented in Italy by CEI 31-86, all gas detectors must be checked according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer, noting the results of the tests carried out in a special register. This register must remain available to the competent authorities in the event of checks. At Sensitron we recommend running tests on detectors every three to six months depending on the area classification. All Sensitron gas detectors allow for easy field calibration and tests must be performed using specific gas mixtures. Sensitron has created the test case that can be equipped with the necessary instrumentation to carry out functionality tests. The case contains a valve with flow regulator and a ZMCAP/123 calibration adapter, designed to correctly flow the test gas to the detectors; the case can also accommodate 2 sample gas cylinders and the optional calibration keyboard
