The KNX SO08A01KNX-3M button from EELECTRON's OL-U® series is a versatile and highly configurable device, designed for wall installation and integrated into the KNX automation system.

Key Features

This device is equipped with up to 8 mechanical keys, which can be configured to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions. Each button can be assigned to up to 16 different channels.

Thermostatic Control

The button includes a two-stage thermostat for controlling two distinct areas, both with an integrated PI controller. This allows the regulation of heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

User Interface

On the front side of the device there is a capacitive bar with swipe function, which allows the implementation of programmable KNX functions. In addition, a freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus.

Logic and Programming

The device has 32 logical blocks that allow you to create simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. Predefined algorithms are also available for proportional control of temperature and humidity, as well as the calculation of the dew point.

Sensors and Presence Detection

The button integrates a temperature sensor and supports the “virtual holder logic”, useful for example in environments such as hotel rooms. With a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, the device can manage accurate presence information and detect unexpected presences.

Configuration and Communication

The device is configured through the ETS® application program, and it can communicate with the KNX Data Secure protocol. The power supply is via EIB/KNX bus with a voltage of 21 ÷ 32V DC and a maximum current of 30 mA.

Design options

The button is available in different versions, including the Regular Version with painted plastic frame (white or black) and the Metal Edition with metal frame (silver, champagne, gold, bronze).

The button kits can be chosen from different configurations: 4 keys, 8 keys, 4 keys on the left and 2 on the right, or 2 keys on the left and 4 on the right.
