The KNX EELECTRON SO08L02KNX-3-3M button, belonging to the OL-U® KNX® series, is designed for wall installation and offers a wide range of features for managing domestic and industrial automation systems.

Key Features

This device is equipped with up to 8 mechanical keys, which can be configured to manage on/off commands, dimmers, shutters and blinds, or other programmable command and control functions. Each button can be assigned to two different channels, allowing a total of 16 control channels.

Configuration and Communication

The KNX button is configured using the ETS® application program. The device supports the KNX Data Secure protocol to ensure secure communication within the KNX network.

Environmental Control

The button integrates a two-stage thermostat for controlling two distinct areas, each with an integrated PI controller. This allows the control of heating, cooling equipment, valves, 6-way valves and 2- and 4-pipe fan coils.

Visualization and Logic

A freely configurable RGB LED bar is available for displaying states or other quantities available on the KNX bus. In addition, the device has 32 logical blocks for creating simple expressions with logical or threshold operators, or complex expressions with algebraic and conditional operators. Predefined algorithms are also available for proportional temperature and humidity control or dew point calculation.

Presence Detection

The device integrates the “Virtual Pocket Logic”, which is particularly useful in hotel rooms. Thanks to a magnetic sensor installed on the door and connected to a digital input, the system manages accurate presence information. The presence detection solution can infer the presence of people in the room using one or more dedicated sensors and also detects accidental presences, differentiating multiple behaviors.

Installation and Design

The KNX EELECTRON SO08L02KNX-3-3M button is available in the Lite version, with finishes for the buttons and plastic plates. It can be installed on a box of 2 or 3 modules and is compatible with the main standards (Italian, German, English, Swiss).
