.Generality
The FD705RVDS unit consists of an infrared light transmitter and receiver; these two components are housed in a single compact unit. The infrared signal is reflected by a prism in the field after being transmitted by the TX; this signal is then processed by a special circuit to detect the possible presence of smoke in the environment. FD705RVDS is particularly suitable for those environments where the application of point smoke detectors would not be suitable due to the height of the place or they would be inaccessible; the unit is equipped with a normally open alarm relay and a normally closed fault relay. Easy installation
The cabling is limited to the bare minimum and the transmitter and receiver are in the same container. The detector is aligned very easily by controlling the red and green LEDs. A micro-adjustment with the phases “" Prism Find “” (Find prism) and “" Alignment Mode "” (Alignment Mode) ensures optimal operation.

Reduction of false alarms Depending
on the type of environment, you can choose alarm thresholds of 25%, 35% and 50%.
If the received infrared signal falls below the selected threshold and persists for about 10 seconds, the fire detection relay is activated.
The fire alarm offers both an automatic reset mode and a stored mode.
If the infrared beam is rapidly obscured by up to 90% or more for about 10 seconds, the fault relay is activated. This condition can be created in different ways, such as when an object is placed in the beam trajectory, in the event of a transmitter failure, loss of the prism or sudden misalignment of the detector. The detector monitors the long-term degradation of signal intensity caused by the aging of components or the accumulation of dirt on optical surfaces. The unit can be easily tested using the graduated darkening test card provided in dating.
