Intrinsically safe class A1R thermal/thermovelocimetric detector. In combination with the GBX2000 barrier and IU2055 module, it allows the use of the detector in a 2000 series analog/addressed system. Compliant with EN54 pt.5 CPR and ATEX II 1G Ex ia IIC T5 Tamb=55°C
General standards
The DCD-1E-IS (WHT) is an intrinsically safe conventional heat detector with a fixed temperature of 60°C designed for use in hazardous areas. The unit also has an output for the remote indicator.
Heat detectors are normally used in applications where smoke detectors are not suitable or if there is a danger of false alarms from smoke detectors.
Classification of heat detectors Heat
detectors are classified according to the highest ambient temperature at which they can be used safely without the risk of false alarms. The classes are identified by the letters A to G. In addition to the basic classification, the detectors can be identified by a suffix to indicate that they are of the type with rising speed (suffix R) or at fixed temperature (suffix S)
A1R A1 - Detector class (maximum application temperature = 50°C, static response temperature 54-65°C) R - Temperature response (with speed of increase) Classification of hazardous areas ATEXII1G II - Equipment group (non-mining)
1 - Equipment category (for Zone 0 or 20) G -
Type of explosive atmosphere (Gas, Vapors and Mists)
Cenelec EEx ia IIC T5 Tamb = 55°C E - Compliance with European standard Ex: explosion protection symbol (Gas, Vapors and Mists)
ia - Protection concept (intrinsic safety)
IIC - Appliance Group (Gas)
T5 - Temperature classification (100°C)
Tamb - Maximum ambient temperature (55°C)
