THERMOSTICK XCR356 UL/FM digital temperature sensitive cables

The linear thermal detector (thermosensitive cable) is a double conductor steel cable, each conductor being coated with a particular temperature-sensitive polymer. Reaching the operating temperature causes the thermosensitive polymer to melt and cause short circuit conditions. Linear thermal detectors are normally used to monitor large environments, but by virtue of their performance, such as reliability, ease of use and reduced costs, they are suitable for any type of installation. The cable is suitable for industrial/civil applications, and for internal/external installation. They can be installed in areas with a danger of explosion (classified areas), subject to the use of suitable devices capable of limiting the supply energy (e.g. intrinsic safety barriers). The digital linear thermal detector has been included in the latest version of UNI 9795:2013.
