Cooper EC0232 Lon to RS232 Adapter The Lon to RS232 adapter (EC0232) allows the connection of Cooper system network devices (LonWorks) to PC-based applications such as site monitors, site graphics. The EC0232PAVA offers an interfacing function similar to the HMX PA/VA system (addresses to the public/voice alarm) while retaining the handshaking functionality and, if necessary, the EC0232PAVA3D offers an additional 3-minute delay before the voice alarm function is activated. The bidirectional connection allows you to view and monitor the status of the HMX PA/VA system from the control unit. Different messages can be played depending on the cause and effect programming configuration. The interface can be placed anywhere on the Cooper peer-to-peer network, allowing information from any smart addressable control panel to be routed through the bidirectional RS232 port to the PC or PA/VA system.
