general public announcements or for individual zones. It can be connected directly to the control unit or by means of an external network switch. The microphone station can be powered locally (48 V) or from the control unit through the POE port. It is equipped with programmable function keys as needed. All operating parameters can be configured, for example, it is possible to assign a zone to the keys, assign groups of zones, define message priorities, set access rights to announcements, control the volume of the music, combine the “press to talk” function, activate/deactivate music and enable routing to speaker areas. In addition, the LEDs on the EST-DMS provide information for system faults, the anomaly in a specific speaker area, the active evacuation mode and the type of announcement present in the area (BGM, PA, EVAC, Alert, emergency microphone for firefighters). It is possible to connect up to 5 EST-EKB-20 button extensions to a microphone base for zone announcements. Similar to the emergency microphone base for fire brigade, the announcement microphone station is equipped with the intercom function to communicate with other microphones present in the system.
