INIM: 4G communicators for Previdia fire panels, cloud connectivity and Ethernet backup

Inim is expanding the remote communication and monitoring capabilities of the Previdia range, Inim Electronics' line of fire detection and alarm control panels.

With the PREVIDIA-C-DIAL4G and PREVIDIA-C-COM-LAN communication modules, paired with the Inim Cloud Fire platform, Previdia panels can now be connected to the cloud over two redundant paths - 4G/LTE mobile network and Ethernet - ensuring event transmission continues even if one of the two links fails.

PREVIDIA-C-DIAL4G: the cellular remote communicator

The PREVIDIA-C-DIAL4G module is the telephone/cellular communicator for Previdia Compact and Previdia Micro control panels. It supports landline telephony as well as 2G and 4G/LTE mobile networks, and allows the panel to:

• place voice calls to configured numbers;

• send SMS messages with text generated automatically based on the event;

• transmit digital alarms to monitoring stations;

• play back up to 100 custom voice messages to notify the end user of alarms and faults.

Key technical specifications: 19-30 Vdc power supply, 40 mA standby current draw and 500 mA maximum, GSM 900 MHz / DCS 1800 MHz / LTE B1, B3, B7, B8, B20 frequency bands, and an operating temperature range of -5°C to +40°C.

PREVIDIA-C-COM-LAN: IP and Ethernet connectivity

The PREVIDIA-C-COM-LAN module adds an Ethernet port to the panel, along with a set of features built for remote monitoring and management:

• email notifications;

• an interactive web interface with graphic maps of the installation;

• video verification via ONVIF IP cameras;

• BACnet protocol support (requires the PRE-BAC-LIC licence);

• integration with TUTONDO EVAC evacuation systems.

The module must be on the same network as the panel's main board. Technical specifications: 19-30 Vdc power supply, 40 mA current draw, SD card reader up to 32 GB, and an operating temperature range of -5°C to +40°C.

Inim Cloud Fire: a single point of control

By connecting Previdia panels (Compact, Max, UltraVox) and FA100 aspirating smoke detection systems to the Inim Cloud Fire platform - accessible via browser or the Inim Fire App - installers and safety managers gain:

• real-time push and email notifications on system events;

• remote interaction with the installation and interactive graphic maps;

• a digital logbook of inspections and maintenance, with the full intervention history;

• automatic reports on periodic tests, inspections and the status of individual devices (sensors, sounders, modules, emergency lights and more);

• notes with electronic signature and maintenance reminders;

• remote panel programming and automatic project backups.

Pairing the C-DIAL4G cellular communicator with the C-COM-LAN Ethernet module gives the installation two independent paths to the cloud: if the Ethernet line goes down, event transmission and remote access remain available over the 4G network, and vice versa.
