KNX IP Secure Router and Interface by Intesis | The solution for integrating KNX systems with security

When designing an automation and control system based on KNX, one of the main challenges is connecting traditional KNX TP lines with a Secure IP backbone, while maintaining high security standards and ensuring flexibility in network management. The KNX IP Secure router and interface (cod. INKNXRTR0080000) by INTESIS by HMS is the ideal solution to meet these needs.

A versatile and certified solution

This device offers dual functionality: it acts as both a router and an interface. As a router, it enables the coupling of KNX TP lines and areas on a KNX IP Secure backbone; as an interface, it allows access to the KNX TP bus from any point on the local LAN or remote connections, with support for up to 8 simultaneous KNXnet/IP tunneling connections.

KNX IP Secure and KNX Data Secure certification guarantees full compliance with the highest cybersecurity standards, an increasingly critical element in modern installations.

Technical features and operational advantages

Connectivity and accessibility

With up to 8 simultaneous KNXnet/IP connections, the device allows you to access the KNX bus from any point on the network, even from remote locations. This translates into greater flexibility during the commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance phases of the system.

Performance and reliability

Telegram buffering up to 150 telegrams prevents data loss during high-traffic situations, ensuring continuous system operation. The extended filter table for group addresses improves performance and reduces unnecessary network traffic.

Simplified installation

A major advantage: it requires no external power supply, as it is powered directly by the KNX bus (approx. 30V DC). This significantly reduces installation effort and design costs. Mounting on DIN rail (bracket included) facilitates its integration into the control cabinet.

Topological flexibility

The line and area coupler function allows you to design more flexible KNX topologies, simplifying system architecture and reducing overall hardware costs.

Essential specifications

  • Compact dimensions: 18 × 89 × 59 mm (weight only 54g)

  • Operating temperature: from -5°C to +45°C

  • Configuration: via ETS (Engineering Tool Software)

  • LED indicators: multicolor for KNX, Mode and IP + programming status

  • Connectors: KNX and LAN

  • Warranty: 3 years

Perfect for installers

For those working in the installation of KNX systems, this device represents a "plug-and-play" solution that simplifies design, reduces installation time and guarantees a robust and secure system. The ease of configuration via ETS and the absence of dedicated external power supply make on-site work more agile and cost-effective.
