Progettare il benessere: the event dedicated to comfort, sustainability and innovation | March 27, 2026
Last Friday, March 27, “Progettare il benessere” took place, an event aimed at architects, engineers, system integrators, and other industry professionals, organized in collaboration with the Order of Architects PPC of the Province of Verona. The event aimed to explore how technology, architecture, and sustainability can work together to improve the quality of life in buildings, with a focus on indoor comfort, energy efficiency, and conscious space design.
The event was introduced and moderated by Ing. Patrizia Ricci, who guided participants through a session full of insights and ideas, highlighting how wellbeing in buildings results from an integrated design approach. From the very beginning, Ing. Roberto Rocco emphasized the importance of coordinated design, where the building envelope, systems, and management tools interact to ensure real performance and lasting comfort.
This was followed by Ing. Massimo Valerii, who highlighted the fundamental role of open standards and system interoperability, essential to ensure durability, flexibility, and simplified maintenance. On the topic of measurement and monitoring, Dott. Marco Molinari illustrated the transition from “declared quality” to measurable quality, showing how constant monitoring of parameters such as temperature, CO2, and energy consumption is key to making informed and sustainable design decisions.
The future perspective was brought by Prof. Emanuele Frontoni, who described how Artificial Intelligence can become a concrete ally for designers, through intelligent systems able to communicate with each other and optimize comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. This thread of integration and coordination was further illustrated in the restoration of Villa Turco Berti, presented by Arch. Guido Pigozzi together with P.I. Gianfranco Pesenato and Simone Turazza. The project demonstrated how it is possible to combine modern systems, architectural preservation, and risk prevention while maintaining high standards of comfort and performance.
Throughout the afternoon, the presentations confirmed that designing wellbeing requires a multidisciplinary vision, where every choice – from the envelope to systems, from monitoring to intelligent technology – contributes to creating comfortable, sustainable, and functional spaces.
For us at MT Distribuzione, events like this are a concrete opportunity to support professionals, foster dialogue, and promote a design culture increasingly attentive to people, the environment, and technological innovation. Our BTRADE26 headquarters has always been a concrete example of this commitment: a space designed and managed with cutting-edge technological solutions, where energy efficiency, comfort, and design meet to demonstrate how innovative choices can transform the everyday experience of those living and working in buildings.
The event was also made possible thanks to the partnership of BCC Valpolicella Benaco, Zennio, Realtà Legno, Zumtobel, 2N, Italfood, Mainenti, and Corte Quaiara, who, with enthusiasm and attention, contributed to making this event a reality. We thank all our partners for sharing our passion for initiatives that promote quality, innovation, and wellbeing in designed spaces.
The day of Friday, March 27, showed that designing wellbeing is not just a technical challenge, but a true mission shared among professionals, companies, and institutions. The ideas presented, the experiences shared, and the direct interaction with industry experts confirm that the future of construction is increasingly focused on creating intelligent, sustainable spaces that meet people’s needs.
We will continue to promote initiatives like this, convinced that only through collaboration and innovation is it possible to build buildings that are truly places of wellbeing.
