Generality
The AD68-1000 digital thermosensitive cable is a non-resettable LHD (Digital Linear Heat Detection) linear heat detector with an alarm threshold at a fixed temperature equal to 68 °C (155 °F). It has an external PVC protective sheath that makes it suitable for indoor applications and is supplied in 1000 m coils.

The line of digital AD thermosensitive cables allow the detection of heat in a very simple way and can be used in many applications where other types of sensors are not suitable.

Operation The line
of AD digital thermosensitive cables consists of a pair of intertwined trimetallic conductors coated with special temperature-sensitive polymers. When the alarm temperature, for which they were designed, is reached, the polymer that insulates the two conductors softens, the tension of the intertwined conductors allows them to come into contact, generating a short circuit on the line. The operation as a simple switch allows it to be used with any monitoring device. Through the use of alarm resistors and end-of-line resistors, the sensor cable is able to report the alarm and fault condition (line opening) to any monitored entrance, such as a conventional fire detection zone or to an

addressable interface module.

Control module (optional) The thermosensitive cable also has a two-zone control module capable of identifying the position in meters where the digital thermosensitive cable intervened (alarm).

Mounting brackets for all applications
