Description
<p/the EELECTRON OUTRC02KNX device is a KNX transponder reader dedicated to access control management, integrating RFID — MIFARE® technology. This device is designed to be configured using the ETS® software and can communicate with the KNX Data Secure protocol, ensuring high security in access operations.
Technical characteristics
- Degree of protection IP54, which ensures protection against splashes of water from any direction and against dust without interfering with the operation of the device.
- Can be installed on a 2-module box and compatible with the main standards (Italian, German, English, etc.).
Functionality
The OUTRC02KNX reader includes a backlit upper part of the glass, allowing you to illuminate the room number or a personalized logo. At the bottom, there is a button typically used as a bell and two LEDs for displaying MUR (Do Not Disturb) and DND (Do Not Disturb) states.

<LI-The transponder is read by placing the card at a maximum distance of 30 mm from the reader.
<LI-The reader's RGB bar indicates that the card has been recognized and shows different colors for reports of states or anomalies:
- Recognized card (welcome): default color Green
- Incorrect system code: default color Orange
- Card ID not recognized: default color Red
- Wrong Card Date (validity expired): default color Yellow
- Wrong time of day (forbidden entry time): default color Magenta
- Wrong weekday (Entry day prohibited): default color Blue-Cyan
- The reader also integrates a buzzer that can be activated by means of an ETS parameter for the sound notification of anomalies.
Customizations
The device offers the possibility of customizing glass covers, including backlighting the room number or a logo, on request.
