The GALILEO SMS (SIL Multisystem) control unit is a multifunction control unit for gas detection, designed to meet the SIL (Safety Integrity Level) requirements established by the European standard EN50402 on Functional Safety. The control unit is completely redundant and has been designed with two powerful microprocessors that communicate the data detected with each other, so as to ensure the availability of all functions, even in the event that one of the two microprocessors fails.
