Scorpion® is a unique and functional smoke detector test system for aspirated smoke detection (ASD) systems that solves a series of long-standing challenges, promotes compliance with international codes and standards, and offers radical savings in terms of time, costs and interruptions. Scorpion is a microsmoke generator permanently installed adjacent to a sample hole on an ASD tube, typically in the farthest sample hole. The smoke generator is connected to an access point mounted in a convenient and easily accessible location at ground level. The functional test of the smoke detector can then be performed easily and safely from the access point (with a technical controller) when required. Scorpion makes testing detectors in elevator compartments, warehouses, factories or secure areas as simple as testing an easily accessible detector.
