The BX Shield series is a range of outdoor curtain motion sensors, with up to 12 meters of detection on each side. BX Shield is ideal for detecting people in the immediate vicinity of your home or office. They are equipped with four PIRs, two on each side. For total control the left and right detection zones can be set completely independently of each other. BXS-ST is the standard wired model (two-tone/white).

Independent left and right motion detection and CCTV connection

The BX Shield's detection range, sensitivity and alarm output are completely independently configurable for the left and right side. The sensing distance can be set to 2.5m, 3.5m, 6m, 8.5m and 12 meters on each side. Sensitivity can be set between low and extremely high, with the ability to detect only a temperature difference of 1 degree Celsius. The sensor can be easily connected to a fixed CCTV or PTZ camera to send visual alerts if unauthorized persons approach property boundaries

Versatile design

The BX Shield Series was designed with the installer in mind. The 90-degree unlock system allows easy access to the settings area, the level allows you to mount the sensor correctly and important areas are highlighted in blue.

Black and silver front covers are available as an option, giving this outdoor sensor a look that blends in nicely with its surroundings

Four PIRs in one sensor for maximum reliability

Why two PIRs on each side? To ensure you deliver the best performance needed in outdoor environments. The BX Shield motion sensor emits two passive infrared beams from each side, one aimed towards the floor and the other in the opposite direction from the sensor; to confirm the intrusion both beams must be crossed: this system allows you to ignore small or medium-sized animals to detect only people.
