Weinzierl Multi IO 570.1 Secure | 48 KNX Channels in a Single Module

In this video, we present Weinzierl’s Multi IO 570.1 Secure. It is a KNX device with 48 channels, each configurable as an input, a switching output or a shutter control.

During the presentation, we look at the hardware, the connections to Weinzierl auxiliary relays and the complete ETS configuration: inputs, outputs, shutters and built-in logic functions.

• Hardware and connections:

  • KNX terminal and 24 V DC power supply

  • open collector channels, paired with Weinzierl auxiliary relays 590 (switching) and 592 on DIN rail (shutters)

  • inputs referenced to 24 V, ideal for dry contacts

• Front panel and programming:

  • display and buttons for restart, programming mode and manual control of the outputs

  • built-in USB interface with long frame support for ETS programming

• General settings:

  • a shutter channel uses only one module output

  • telegram rate limit over 10 seconds to avoid bus overload

  • heartbeat, display reset, long-press time for the inputs

• Inputs:

  • switching, dimming, shutters, value sending, RGB colors

  • up to 8 scenes in sequence from the same input

  • generic commands, pulse counter and operating hours counter

  • NO or NC contact, lock function, short press, long press and release handling

• Switching outputs:

  • universal, staircase light or on/off delay mode

  • status sent on change, on read request or cyclically, and states on bus failure and recovery

  • thermal actuator function with PWM, timed cycle and maximum percentage limit

• Shutters and blinds:

  • operation with or without position calculation

  • travel times, additional travel and slat rotation

  • up to 16 scenes, lock and emergency stop, alarms and automatic control, for example from a weather station

• Logic functions (up to 48):

  • timers with delays and output inversion

  • AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR and XNOR gates with up to 4 inputs

  • comparators on different datatypes

  • average calculation, datatype conversion and min/max thresholds
