THERMOSTICK VESDA LASER SCANNER WITH DISPLAY AND 7 RELAYS

The LaserScanner is similar to the standard LaserPlus detector, but it also includes a valve mechanism in the inlet manifold and software to control airflow from the four VESDA sectors (tubes). This configuration allows a single VESDA zone to be divided into four separate sectors, distinguishing, for example, between separate voids within a room or separate closets within the same room. The LaserScanner draws air from all sectors used. If the smoke level reaches the adaptive scan threshold, the LaserScanner quickly scans each tube to identify which tube carries smoke. If more than one pipe carries smoke, the sector with the highest smoke concentration is designated as the First Alarm Sector (FAS). Once the quick scan is complete and the FAS has been identified, the LaserScanner continues to closely monitor all four sectors (pipes) to monitor the growth of the fire and maintain full protection of the area. Four alarm levels (Alert, Action, Fire 1 and Fire 2) are available for each sector (tube), and the sensitivity for each alarm level can be set to ensure that the optimal alarm thresholds are applied for each sector. The LaserScanner display has a bar chart to indicate the general level of smoke, the alarm threshold and the fault indication. The bar chart shows the smoke levels of the individual sectors during the scan sequence. There is an additional LED to indicate that a first alarm sector (FAS) has been identified and an additional function on the silence button to allow the manual scan to start. The LaserScanner display module can be mounted on the front cover of the LaserScanner or remotely in a 19-inch subrack or remote box. The LaserScanner detector can be equipped with a programmable termination board with 7 or 12 relays. The additional relays on the 12-way Termination tab can be assigned on a “per sector” basis. The relays can be mounted in a remote box or a 19-inch subrack. The LaserScanner is equipped with AutoLearnTM and Referencing software functions to ensure optimal operation in different environments and eliminate the occurrence of false alarms. AutoLearn monitors the environmental environment and sets the most appropriate alarm thresholds (Warning, Action, Fire 1, Fire 2) during the commissioning process. The reference ensures that the external pollution of a protected environment does not interfere with the real level of smoke detected.
