Weinzierl KNX RF | TP/RF 673.1 Coupler and Push Button 440 Secure

In this video, we present two Weinzierl devices for the KNX RF world:

• the

  TP/RF 673.1 Secure

  line and segment coupler

• the

  KNX RF Push Button 440 Secure

Together, they extend a wired KNX system with radio controls, securely and without any wall work.

During the presentation, we look at the hardware of both devices and their configuration in ETS: the coupler’s filter tables, the functions of the push button’s four keys, and battery management.

Technologies and Features Covered:

• TP/RF 673.1 Secure coupler:

  • can be configured as a line coupler or as an RF segment coupler

  • supports long frames

  • 4 LEDs for TP bus traffic and 4 LEDs for RF traffic

  • 2 buttons to quickly enable or disable telegram filtering

• Filter tables in ETS:

  • routing from the TP side to the RF side and vice versa

  • filter, block or route group addresses, individual addresses, acknowledge and broadcast telegrams

  • manual operation can be disabled or time-limited (11 min, 30 min, unlimited)

• Push Button 440 Secure:

  • 4-key push button powered by a CR2032 battery

  • ships as EnOcean and becomes KNX RF once configured; a factory reset returns it to EnOcean

  • USB port, so it can also act as a programming interface for RF devices

• Finishes:

  • Match 55 frames in white or black plastic, clear glass or black glass

  • single or double button covers in white or black plastic

• Key functions:

  • switching with an additional object B, dimming, blinds and shading

  • value sending (1 byte, 2-byte integer and float, RGB, ASCII strings)

  • color control (3 or 4 RGBW objects, or DPT 232.600) and scene sequences

  • generic function for press, release, short, long and very long press

• Battery and press management:

  • cyclic battery status reporting (1, 6, 12 or 24 hours) through a 1-bit object

  • very long press adjustable from 2 to 20 seconds

  • programming mode by holding A0 and B0 for 6 seconds
